The Concept

The KUMHO TCR World Tour was launched in 2023 to become the pinnacle of the category that puts together professional drivers with international experience and the competitors of TCR regional and national series.

This plan to establish such an innovative platform was conceived by WSC while keeping in mind the fundamental principles of the TCR concept: the very same race car that can be used in all the TCR-sanctioned series around the world.

WSC President Marcello Lotti: “Since the inception of the TCR concept, WSC has built a large community of competitors. With the KUMHO TCR World Tour, teams and drivers can take the opportunity to compete at a global level. At the same time, this also strengthens the cooperation we have established with the promoters of the regional and national series.”

A selection of the more than 200 TCR-sanctioned events held during the season are chosen to form the calendar of the KUMHO TCR World Tour that awards Drivers’ and Teams’ titles.

From the 2024 season the KUMHO TCR World Tour has been elevated to the status of an FIA competition, becoming the KUMHO FIA TCR World Tour.
