The Home Of 24 Hour Racing

Teesside Karting's 24hr karting series represents thirty years of 24-hour racing across Europe. Our Le Mans 24hr kart race was voted in the top ten bucket-list events by Autosport Magazine, and our British 24hr kart race is the biggest kart race in the world with 80+ karts on the grid.

British 24hr Challenge

At 2.1km, this is the longest kart circuit in the UK, and still the fastest - flat out all the way is the only way to go in a 24-hour sprint race!

With an average track width of 10 metres, everywhere is an overtaking opportunity. From the start line, head through the changing camber of the front 'D chicane' and down to the sweeping left-hander.

On to the west side of the circuit, travelling downhill toward the hairpin bump, the kart lifts all four wheels off the deck, still flat and turning in, waiting to touch back down and clear the apex before heading on to the hill section climbing right.

Head left and climb all the way before cornering the hairpin at the top of the hill, then onto the back straight for another 500 meters before navigating the hairpin complex, only now lifting. Left, right, and back on to the rear straight, lining up for the massive banked bend known as South Bank.

Hang on for seconds before hitting the next corner, right, then line up for a sweeping left that brings you onto the dog-leg and flat out to the front straight, then over the line to start another lap.

Lap times around the International Circuit are in the low 1:20s. Driver stints last an hour and a half - this is what endurance racing is all about - and it's the hardest race of the year!

Le Mans 24hr Challenge

Enjoy the spirit of the 24-hour karting endurance at the home of the 24-hour race: Le Mans in France. The kart circuit is nestled in the Grand Prix circuit, only minutes from the famous Circuit des 24 Heures. Spend a day soaking up the history of this amazing place in the Circuit 24 Heures Museum.

The atmosphere at the Le Mans race is the best of any paddock, with most teams opting to 'glamp' at the onsite campsite. In the trackside pit garages, the party atmosphere fills the air, alongside the smell of BBQs, before getting down to the serious business of the racing.

Our Biz 200cc twins are as equal as possible and a minimum weight rule of 235kg for kart and driver is in place to further level the field.

The Karts

The Le Mans twin-engined pro-kart has been designed to be fully compliant with the latest European safety laws, meaning that it can be raced anywhere in Europe.

It uses the most advanced driver protection system with double wrap-around bumper sections, offering full wheel protection and shock absorption. The bodywork is sleek and minimal as it wraps around the full kart, whilst allowing the kart full functionality, speed and superior handling.

Combined with twin Honda GX200 engines, this makes it the ideal kart for endurance racing on larger outdoor circuits.
