ARC-African Rally Championship
The African Rally Championship (ARC) is an international automobile rally championship run under the auspicies of the FIA. The championship was first held in 1981.
Run for the first time in 1981, the FIA African Rally Championship (ARC) features an all-gravel calendar with events taking place against a backdrop of stunning landscapes across the continent’s Sub-Saharan region.
Rally2, Rally3, Rally4 and Rally5 cars can take part on ARC events and score points. In addition, eligible Group N4 and R4 cars are permitted for use in the FIA ARC2 category, while eligible T4 Cross-Country cars can compete on events in a separate T4 class.
Rally cars homologated by Motorsport South Africa can also be used on ARC events with their drivers eligible for points. Meanwhile, FIA Junior ARC is for drivers 28 and under on January 1, 2023, entered in any permitted car.
